Kitchen Remodel

In August 2006 Safe Harbor shut down for 2 -4 weeks while the kitchen was remodeled and expanded. The Shelter’s kitchen was coming up on ten years old and showing a lot of wear and tear. If you can imagine how many meals your family prepares in your kitchen every day, and then think about ten families preparing three meals per day in your kitchen, you might have an idea of the state of the Shelter’s kitchen. Not only was it worn down, but it was certainly not big enough to accommodate the up to ten families a day that it has been putting up with.

Safe Harbor, working with Layton Construction and their sub-contractors, was very excited to start and finish the remodeling. We even have a picture of the wonderful kitchen that Layton Construction left us with. Thanks to all!
